Established in 2018, Turbine Studios brings together four experienced executives with complimentary skills from the TV and Film industry, with a shared mission to develop and produce high-end top-quality drama programming with global appeal.

  • Tracey Scoffield

    Founder & Exec Producer

    Tracey Scoffield began her career in film and to drama at BBC Films where she was Head of Development and Executive Producer for ten years, working across film and TV projects, and as an EP on many films including the Oscar nominated Dirty Pretty Things, and the Emmy, Golden Globe and BAFTA Award winning The Gathering Storm.

    She then set up Rainmark Films with veteran Producer Frank Doelger, an independent company with a first look deal with HBO, producing amongst other shows Muhammad Ali’s Greatest Fight and The Frankenstein Chronicles for ITV and Netflix.

    Her most recent credit is Executive Producer on the multi award winning Small Axe, co-written and directed by Steve McQueen. Small Axe was nominated for a record 15 BAFTAS, and two of the films were in the official selection for Cannes 2020.

    She worked again with Steve McQueen on his BAFTA award winning documentary Uprising about the New Cross Fire.

    She was an Executive Producer on Constellation, an 8-part series for Apple TV+, written by Peter Harness and starring Noomi Rapace and Jonathan Banks.

  • Andrew Eaton

    Founder & Exec Producer

    Andrew Eaton began his career at the BBC, making documentaries in the Music and Arts department before moving to BBC drama to produce Roddy Doyle’s award-winning series Family (1994), directed by Michael Winterbottom. In 1994, he left the BBC to form Revolution Films with Michael: an independent production company, which he ran successfully for over twenty years.
    Andrew has won two BAFTAs and four British Independent Film Awards. He was deputy chair of the UK Film Council from 2005 to 2009, head of the Film and Television Diversity Council and has sat on the BAFTA Board and BAFTA Film Committee.
    Andrew has produced more than forty films, including high profile features such as Ron Howard’s Rush. His television credits include the BAFTA award winning Red Riding for Channel 4, BAFTA award-winning The Trip for the BBC and the international hit TV series The Crown for Netflix and Sony Pictures International, winning several BAFTAs, a Golden Globe for best Television Series and receiving over 26 nominations at the Primetime Emmy Awards.
    Most recently, Andrew produced Munich, The Edge of War, starring Jeremy Irons and George MacKay and Havoc starring Tom Hardy both for Netflix.
  • David Tanner

    Founder & Exec Producer

    With a background in physical production, David Tanner is known for Co-Producing Stephen Frears’ Emmy-nominated film Muhammad Ali’s Greatest Fight and for producing both seasons of The Frankenstein Chronicles for ITV and Netflix.
    David oversaw all aspects of production on the multi award-winning and widely nominated Small Axe, Steve McQueen’s anthology series for the BBC and Amazon Studios and was the Executive Producer alongside McQueen and Tracey Scoffield. David was also an Executive Producer on the BAFTA award winning documentary Uprising.
    Recently, David was an Executive Producer on Constellation, an 8-part series for Apple TV+, written by Peter Harness and starring Noomi Rapace and Jonathan Banks.
  • Justin Thomson

    Founder & Exec Producer

    Justin Thomson began as a lawyer working at leading boutique film law practice Marriott Harrison before moving to Film Four as Senior Business Affairs Executive working on films such as Sexy Beast and Gangster No 1.
    In 2001 Justin set up Box TV with Gub Neal, where they produced Jimmy McGovern’s Prix Italia winning Sunday and Lee Hall’s adaptation of Wind in the Willows starring Bob Hoskins, Matt Lucas, Imelda Staunton and Mark Gattiss.
    In 2008 Justin co-founded Artists Studio with Gub Neal and Patrick Irwin, which was eventually acquired by Endemol Shine in 2014.  During his time at Artists Studio, Justin Executive Produced a number of projects including the BAFTA winning The Fall starring Gillian Anderson and Jamie Dornan, Death Comes to Pemberley, Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell and The Frankenstein Chronicles starring Sean Bean.
    Most recently, Justin Executive Produced the BAFTA winning BBC documentary Uprising, directed by Steve McQueen for Turbine, as well as acting as an Executive Producer on Constellation, an 8-part series for Apple TV+, written by Peter Harness and starring Noomi Rapace and Jonathan Banks.
  • Charlotte Andrews

    Head of Production

    Charlotte started her career in the creative team for the London 2012 Olympic Ceremonies, where she worked on the Opening Ceremony directed by Danny Boyle.

    She joined Rainmark Films in 2013, where she worked as an assistant for Tracey Scoffield and David Tanner. When Turbine Studios was set up in 2018, Charlotte joined them as an Associate Producer and Production Executive.

    Charlotte was an Associate Producer on the multi award winning anthology Small Axe, co-written and directed by Steve McQueen and Constellation for Apple TV+.

  • Dominique Summers

    Development Executive

    Prior to joining Turbine Studios in April 2023, Dominique was Development Executive at Archery Pictures, where she worked on productions including Operation MincemeatRiviera (Sky) and Fate: The Winx Saga (Netflix).

    Dominique started her career as assistant to the producers on series one and two of The Crown (Netflix). She then assisted the producers on feature films Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again and Fantastic Beasts: Crimes of Grindelwald, before re-joining the production team on The Crown for series three.

  • Chloe Huybens

    Executive Assistant

    Chloe started her career working on unscripted television productions, before quickly moving to television drama sets. Before joining Turbine, she worked in the production management department at Disney+, focusing on their scripted originals slate whilst script reading for companies such as Sister and South of the River. Aside from her role at Turbine, she is involved with the platform Girls in Film, which champions the new generation of women, non-binary and trans filmmakers in the UK and abroad.
